As part of the Watan Carnival Exhibition, which was inaugurated by His Excellency the University President, Prof. Abdulrahman Al-Khudairy, and which comes within the university’s activities to celebrate the 94th Saudi National Day, the College of Applied Medical Sciences participated in an introductory corner about the Saudi Genome Program project, as the Genome Program opens a new path in the healthcare sector, by creating a database to document the first genetic map of Saudi society, and working to empower and develop healthcare, reduce its costs, and improve the quality of life in general.

 This distinctive national initiative harnesses the latest advanced genome technologies to effectively reduce the spread of genetic diseases, and the program leads towards progress in the field of healthcare by providing better diagnosis, treatment, and prevention..
